If you are a UK passport holder you will find it nigh on impossible to be offered a job with your skills as all jobs have to be offered to EU and Spanish citizens first and unemployment in Spain is historically very high.

Also as things stand after Brexit once resident if your driving license is a UK one you can only use it for 6 months then it is not valid and if you drive you are breaking the law, you would need to take the Spanish driving test.

With a UK passport you will need to secure a work position before you move to Spain. If you secure a position then your prospective employer will need to apply for a work visa on your behalf from the Spanish consulate in the UK.

As mentioned, all work must be offered to an EU citizen first by law.

You will still need a Spanish driving licence after 6 months.

It would have been nice of you to mention the Irish passport at the start!!

You can come to Spain to live but you must sign on the foreigners register within the first 3 months of arrival.

You need to change your UK licence to Irish then change that for a Spanish licence then you will be in a position to work legally in Spain.

Thank you this is very helpful and much appreciated

Can I ask does anyone know of a recruitment agency that specialises in jobs for the transport industry?

Sorry I don’t and I do think you will have to be lucky or very persistent to get a job driving(right place right time). There seems to be a pretty huge pool of South American’s that do the driving jobs(think of the Polish lads in the UK pre brexit)I wish you luck.
