Do you live legally in Spain now?

What passport do you hold?

As a UK passport holder and want to live permanently in Spain and work you will need to have a firm job offer first and then your prospective employer will need to apply for a work visa on your behalf.

All available work must be offered to an EU citizen first.

You would have to send your CV to any firms that you could contact that employ workers with your skills. Hopefully they would reply offering you an interview.

As I mentioned before, any available work must be offered to an EU citizen first.

The alternative would be to set yourself up legally as an ‘autonomo’, that is a self employed business. But be advised that this is not an easy option, as it requires business plans, financial backing and although once registered you will be entitled to use of the Spanish Health system, you will also be required to make heavy social security payments monthly, regardless of your income.

Your best solution is to take Steve’s advice and send out your CV to every firm you can find in the country in the hope of an interview.

I wouldn’t want to shatter any illusions you may have but subject to your age you would have a much better chance of immigration and work to Australia,Canada or New Zealand.Since brexit what you are proposing has become very difficult if not impossible into a EU country.Have you got an Irish parent/grandparent?
