Alan,

What is making you want to purchase property in an area that you know absolutely nothing about? Have you thought about having some time in the area and looking around for the things you mentioned? Don't rely to much on other posters opinions about area's as some posters will always defend their area. I live in Benidorm and i love it to bits but others hate the idea of even spending a day here. Go there Alan and make your own mind up.

Good advice, go to the area look around get a feel for the place, is it mostly residential or a holiday area? If the latter it is likely to be quiet during the winter.

One piece of advice we were given and I have mentioned this in previous posts try to purchase near facilities such as a medical Centre, shops, bank, etc.

I live in the neighbourhood for the last 25 years and like it. There is a numerous expat community, and you can also find people from Holland, Germany, France, the US to name a few. Good communications and infrastructures, except public transport. Every saturday around noon find many of us in the bars throughout the "mercadillo". Worthwhile to have a look around. Feel free to ask for more.
