Hi we are thinking of buying a 2 bed holiday home in Villamartin. We are looking for somewhere that has enough going on but not too much, so a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Somewhere pretty with nice views, not too far from the beach, nice pool area. Are there any areas to avoid ? Come to that are there any estate agents to avoid. Do we have to use an agent or can you buy and sell privately

many thanks

I have sent you a private message recommending someone.

However I live in Villamartin very near the Plaza on Las Violetas, it is a lovely urb with a community feel, but everything is spaced out so you are not on top if each other.

I am only 3 mins walk to the plaza, but the noise in the summer does not carry down to the urb.

In my private message I will give you my number etc.

Avoid engaging with agents yet. It's too early

Get yourself on Rightmove do the research on the areas find some properties you like the look of.

Then contact the agents marketing them and spend a few days there getting a feel for the area and view the ones you have seen.

Don't ask an agent to find a property..Do the research and find the properties yourself

Villamartin is great there are 3 or 4 good areas..

La Fuente

EL Galan

Plaza

Los Dolses

If your within a 5-10 walk of any of these areas you won't go yo far wrong. Be mindful the Plaza can be very lively and "touristy" and doesn't suit everyone's tastes

We have a two bed apartment with a nice roof terrace in Valencias area. It's nice and quiet with a mix of residents and holiday homes. Very handy for Plaza, Los Dolses and La Fuente centres. 30 min walk to La Zenia centre and about 45 minutes to beach. Good luck. Iain.

Hi Ruby

I would definately do your own research on-line then visit drive around and get a feel of the area, select some properties to look at and get more than one  agent to show you different areas before you make a decision

I have sold an apartment on Pinada Golf - really quiet and nice community and 10 minutes walk from the Plaza so best of both worlds

I liked Villamartin so much am moving there permanently in April

Good luck with your search

Best Wishes

Maggie
