There seems to have been a few posts recently of people being the victim of incidents, including assaults, where they have taken to social media to ‘warn’ others of what’s happened but have declined to inform the police(😳) - often citing their inability to speak Spanish as an excuse.
Whilst I have thankfully not needed to report anything (🤞) yet, I have downloaded the AlertCops App which has been designed for this purpose.
I know there is a neighbourhood watch Facebook group locally which help monitor incidents and give advice and there is a new emergency centre now at La Zenia.
Can anyone who has some experience of reporting incidents, contacts of any local translators or neighbourhood watch schemes offer any guidance on this topic as I’m sure it’s in everyone’s interests to ensure we report all incidents and help keep the area safe and welcoming?
