Just seen our first squirrel in Spain. Outside up palm tree making a lot of clicking noise and seemed to banging his tail at us.

Hi, they must be short-of squirrels down your way.Having surrounded where I live among pine trees, there are an abundance of Reds & thankfully no greys in Spain. The reds can "strip" a pine cone for the pine nuts, far quicker than humans.

I soon "fell-out" with a certain UK immigrant who took exception to the vast number of red squirrels who stripped the pine cones, messing his patio. He gave up using his rifle after stern advice. Villas
