Why do people waste our time. I have been selling a part set of golf clubs and have had contact from 2 people who said they wanted them and would call round to pick them up. I have been private messaging them and one said he would definitely call round but kept changing the date. I did not send my address as I sensed he was a time waster as all he wanted was my mobile number

Evergreens, its merely common decency to let people know if a planned appointment cannot be kept.
I dont blame you for being annoyed at being let down hopefully those particular two people may read your post and at least offer an apology.

Same thing happened to me, I was giving away some SCUBA equipment with the proviso that anyone who was interested would collect.
All in all about £100's worth, arrangements were made, but was a no show, not even a text, call to say sorry but they had changed their mind.
Eventually a gentleman who's wife needed some equipment took it off my hands.

Hi....it is a shame you have a bad response trying to sell your golf clubs.
Have you seen the number of sets for sale in local charity shops...every few weeks, another set for sale !
You could find out how much they fetch and perhaps gauge your own sale price accordingly?

Alex, My post was one you have removed which expressed sympathy for the OP the fact that I also put in a couple of 'puns' (admittedly not brilliant ones) to try and cheer up the OP after his let down really didn't deserve your intervention in my opinion, you can send your apology by private message if you wish.
