Can anyone recommend a qualified gas fitter to install a natural gas water heater?

I bought a gas water heater from Leroy Merlin,i also obtained a quote from them for installation,which i thought expensive. I now need to find a recommended qualified gas fitter to quote me,can anybody recommend a company or individual please?

Just as in UK it will have to be a qualified, certified fitter and you need a certificate of correct installation, so installation is not cheap so perhaps your Leroy Merlin quote was not expensive. To many horror stories in the past of deaths through badly fitted gas boilers, you don't want to become one of them I'm sure for a few Euro's saved.

Hi Bernie, I've just had a Vallient 14 litre water heater supplied and fitted for approx 1000 euros. Heater was 469euros,the rest was for other parts such as flue,pipe work,flexible connectors,etc. I dealt with Leroy Merlin and found them straightforward (good English)and completely happy with the installation. Try and find out what other people are using in your area as water pressures vary and some heaters are better coping than others
