I have been a resident since May 2021 and have been told if I go out Spain in to another European country including the uk for 90 days I can I can not out of Spain until I have stayed in Spain for 90 days is that true.

Al I was told I can only spend 10 months out of Spain in 5 years.

Hope you understand that thank you.

Hi rds,

The answer will be different depending on  your circumstances.  If you're a UK citizen and became resident in Spain in May 2021, that was after the end of the Brexit transition period, so did you come here on a visa?  Or do you have an Irish passport?

Kind regards,

Kim

If you have been officially resident in Spain and hold either a Certificado de Registro de Ciudadano Europeo’ (EU Registration Certificate) or TIE you will find all the information you need about restrictions on stays outside Spain without losing your residency by clicking on the following link:

Hi rds,

That's why I asked what passport you have: UK or Irish?  Do you have, or have you ever had, the small, green registration certificate, or do you have a plastic TIE card?  If you have aTIE card, are the words, "Emitido bajo Art. 18.4 acuerdo retirada" printed on the reverse?

Regards,

Kim

OK, I'm trying to help you here, but it's like pulling teeth.  I suggest you read the official websites and figure it out for yourself.

You will get excellent advice on this forum from knowledgeable posters if you give full information of your problem. You will get nowhere by answering in riddles!

In March 2021 the OP said he was resident and had a Spanish driving licence but now says he's been resident only since May 2021.Later in Sept 21 he said"My partner as insured her motorhome in Spain as she is going to put in storage and fly down and use it, I have told by her insurance that I can drive it with my uk license I’m a Spanish resident."Sounds very confused!
