Residency

If we have previously lived and owned a business and resided in Tenerife , does this transfer to mainland Spain?
Our NIE's were accepted when we bought our house here (Villamartin) two years ago.

Hi Mary,
As the Canaries are Spanish territory and your NIE was accepted for a house purchase on the mainland, I would think your time living in Tenerife does count for the purpose of residency, but for a definitive response, probably best to ask your lawyer or gestor.
Kind regards,
Kim

I'm not sure what you're asking Mary.
If you've already got residency certificates they they remain valid - you just need to transact a change of address.
If you haven't got residency certificates, the period of actual residence in Spanish territory is immaterial - you need to register asap.
