My friend just told me that Sunlife just charged him €300 to renew his TIE card.

He was a bit upset when I told him I got it all done for €80 .

She did all paperwork pays €12 tax and two trips to police station.

I suppose it might help if you said who "she" was.

Definitely been ripped off.

When doing business with anyone, for any reason, you should at least ask "how much will it cost"

Five friends of mine have recently done it themselves for just the €12 fee.

I'll wager plenty of others have paid more than the €300 your friend did!

So easy to do it yourself for just the 12€ fee.

Lots of websites with step by step instructions of how to make the appointment and complete the EX23. All nicely translated for you . Both CAB & Age Concern websites are really helpful.

If you can’t be bothered to do it yourself or pay 300 euros   Jill will do it 80 euros 665309723.

Maybe peanuts relatively yet presumably they still make a profit which makes the service viable.
