Hello

You need an appt for them to come & inspect the property, to check  measurements of rooms etc. to decide if its suitable for rental & appropriate for that area.

Hello

Villamartin is Orihuela Town Hall, Playa Flamenca has its own town hall.  If you google whichever one  is relevant  ( ask your friend whose property it is, for more information )   you should be able to make an online  appt.

They will also need a Habitation certificate before getting the application started

Hello,

In the Valencia community they don't do inspections.

You will need first the Habitation certificate and then you can start the process.

1) compatibility report

2) Tourist Licence number

3) Tourist plaque

4) police code.

You can read all the information here https://advisorscostablanca.com/tourist-licence-in-valencia-community/

It is kind of you to offer to help your friends out with this.  Unfortunately there is very little you can actually do on a practical level towards obtaining the license.  The application documents for the Certificate of Compatibility needs an original signature of the owner(s), or it can be done by an authorised person such as the person's legal or fiscal representative.  If they cannot get to Spain to sign the documents themselves then it may be worth them paying their solicitors to do it for them.  They will need an up to date Habitation Certificate, an valid energy certificate, and copies of passports and NIEs will be needed as well.  The property needs to comply with the requirements set down with the appropriate equipment.  If the come under the Playa Flamenca Town Hall then the first stage will take a long time, they are way behind with issuing Certificates and that isn't going to be high on their priority list at the moment, so no hope of getting a license for this summer unfortunately.  The second stage is faster and is done by the office of tourism in Alicante.  The third stage with the Guardia Civil has to be done in person unless they are employing a licensed agent to handle the lettings.

I do know the process but I havent done one in Villmartin so am unsure of the town hall procedures so was first checking which town hall to use, and second, do we need appointment or can call in as we do in my area
