just recieved a email from the lawyer i brought my house through in August for 2018 non resident tax

i been asked by the lawyer for 100 euros plus vat to set up a direct debit and sort out the paperwork for the tax

At present i do not rent out my house and think that the lawyer fee is high for a bit of paperwork

Can anybody advise how much they pay for this service and also when it is due to be paid by so i get a lower price

as my actual tax is only 32 euros

i am coming over in june so if i can get a better price i can get somebody cheaper to sort it

You asked the same question a few days ago, and I gave you a link to doing it for €20. Why ask again?

I just went to the Suma office and set up a direct debit with them, very easy no cost involved

Margaret, are you not referring to the IBI tax(ie. Spanish council tax) which gets paid to Suma? Its their invoice which supplies the cadastral value which is then used to determine the non resident tax to pay. The non resident tax is not paid to Suma but to the Tax Office. I used and highly recommend the company Jim advised, Angar Taxation Services who do the whole job of calculating and paying it for 20€ per owner per year.

Regards

Pauline.

Hi Susan,

This topic is 5 years old and Angar Taxation Services changed their fees following Brexit, making it significantly more expensive.  Many members use Spanish Tax Forms for their annual Non-resident tax, but you'd be best to start a new thread to obtain current recommendations.

Kind regards,

Kim
