Hi.

It's going to be our first visit to Villamartin in a couple of weeks and I am wondering whether a taxi transfer from Alicante Airport or a car hire would be better. The quote I have had from a taxi company at the airport is around 70 euros each way. It would therefore be cheaper to hire a car (100 euros or so). So, my question is, would it be cheaper to hire a taxi from a firm based in, or near, Villamartin? If so, are there any companies people can recommended?

Regards

Andrew

Hi Matey

I've had a reliable quote for 100 euros including insurance.I've also had taxi quoe for 40 euros each way. So those are the options open to me.

Regards

Andrew

My neighbour has just paid €10 per day for car hire thru Ryanair for three weeks from Alicante airport...brand new fiat 500 and fully insured!

I would suggest shopping around and personally I would opt for car hire over taxis as you have it at your  disposal weather you use it or not!

Sound advice. That is my current thinking. I have a quote from Firefly, through Ryanair, for about 10 euros a day. Thanks for the reply.

Firefly rip u off when u bring the car back they know where to look for little marks u can’t see on a number plate for example and then charge u 250 Euro for repair that’s why u need excess policy a year for 40 £ before u rent !!!  Be aware they know all the tricks     Regards john
