I wonder were the origin lies in using that term ? Where second hand goods at one time , known to be prone to contain the blighters?
Incidentally, in Japan ,and according to Wiki ,it is stated , due to issues around phonetics " Flea " Markets are very often interpreted as meaning " Free " Markets .

Personally ,I always refer to them as a Car Booty, and am grateful to Pete for his help in giving the location of one near Villamartin.
I wonder if RayD can come back in again with the Spanish translation .
I would, however give caution over the translation of "Booty "
