Hi do expats in and around Villamartin take part in Xmas Jumper Day like folks in the UK do? It's on Dec 9th this year and I will be in Villamartin then and just wondered if I should bring one with me when I come over.

Never heard of anything happening like that anywhere here in Spain.

Well first of all I was going to say that the Christmas jumper day is organised by the British charity of Save the Children, but that’s a different date, so maybe your day is a celebration of something else.

Most of the charity collections around here are for local organisations not British ones.

Christmas jumpers are sold and worn in Spain but definitely not during the day. With December daytime temperatures normally around 25C it’s way too hot to wear a jumper, but once the temperature drops after 4pm your Christmas jumper will come in handy.

So no Christmas Jumper Day isn’t celebrated, but feel free to wear your jumper anyway.
