I move into our new house on Sun 6 May and ive managed to pack some items for my new home however we were going to go shopping after we arrive for items like :- duvets, toaster, kettle, iron, hairdryers etc . Im aware Zenia Boulevard and other shops are closed now on a Sunday. can anyone give any ideas if any other shops maybe open to purchase some if any of these items . TIA

I was out in Spain 2 weeks ago, and all shops in La Zenia Boulevard , (incl Carrefour) were closed, as were the neighbouring supermarkets, which included the Chinese ones. Bob is right in that they are not closed every Sunday, but according to a leaflet I read (which somebody has previously loaded on this forum), they will be closed every Sunday up until July time - when they will then be open most Sundays for the rest of the year.

If I was you, i’d use this first Sunday as a day of relaxation, you can start the mad shopping spree the day after!!

The first Sunday that shops will open is 17th June. Carrefour along with all the other supermarkets is not allowed to open before then. It's only the small shops that may open. I don't know if New2U in Punta Prima does Sundays. You could google it. They sell new bedding etc and kitchen stuff as well as furniture.

Hi again,

I've just googled New2U and they don't open on Sundays because they are in Zocco Market. It is not far if you have a car, but I couldn't give you directions, sorry. Best of luck.

Go down the N332 to San Javier and use the Dos Mares shopping centre.  All shops there are open on Sundays, including the supermarket.
