It may sound a silly question but have just taken our pool cover of after winter hibernation,  it was still blue water albeit it needs a good clean , anyhow the vacuum hose I use,   I put in the pool as before to get air out but it has a split in the hose , unlike a garden hose I would just cut of the area and refit with a equal fitting.

I have tapped over the split but because it's a ribbed pipe it does not seal 100%.

The actual ends of the pipe , the end couplings on the hose that go onto your vacuum in pool and other to cleaner head seems to be actually bonded on to the hose , is it possible to cut of the section of pipe split and refit the ends but is there a special sealer or do I need to get a new hose .

I have "successfully" (by the above described method) repaired mine on a couple of occasions, but it has proved to be only a temporary stop-gap until the inevitable "buy a new one."

They seemed to be designed to fail after 2 - 4 years. Looks like a visit to Ferri!
