Can someone settle this argument between hubby and myself. He insists we cannot go into our own garden (en campo) and cut the grass, etc as it states we are not to leave our homes apart for essential reasons. I argue that our garden is nowhere near any other people so we will not be getting close to anyone. Also it is part of our home. We are almost totally alone where we live as the properties around our area are mainly weekend homes for the locals in the town and of course they are not visiting since lockdown.

Any help would be appreciated as today is forecast to be the last dry day for a while and the grass is growing enormously.

Cheers

Kate

I live in the Campo as well and we have been enjoying our garden throughout the lockdown as the garden is part of my home. When I am out in my Campo garden I am much further away from other people than if I was on a balcony in a built up area clapping for the health service and other essential workers.

There was a joke I heard the other day related to gardening and set a future date when the lockdown restrictions have ended

 - a neighbour goes to visit the couple next door for the first time after lockdown, the lady of the house is in, they greet each other and the visitor asks, where's your husband? Oh he's in the garden replies the wife. Well I came in through the garden but did'nt see him says the neighbour, Oh he's out there, you just have to dig a little answers the wife.............

Aitch.
