I can highly recommend CM construcción y reformas. Excellent service excellent work. Initially came to repair my pool and convert to salt water system. They have now just completed reform of kitchen and bathroom, also painted my entire property inside and out. I will be using again for my terrace and landscaping when they are available. So happy with everything they have completed for me.

Hi all, we’re getting quotes now for moving our house contents to Alicante and they vary wildly.  I assume there’s some cowboys out there but the variance is almost double!

Can someone help ref customs declaration for our gear please. I realise that you have to list items that you have, but one company is breaking that down into number of shirts, pants etc, is that really needed?

Of course I realise that this is also the value now, but how ‘creative’ can I be and is there a way to claim back the import duties as we’re permanently emigrating to Spain.

We are planning to drive to Spain in our UK registered car and thinking of leaving it in longterm airport parking for for 6 months, when we fly back to the UK. The idea being to save on carhire costs.  We would drive the car back to the UK for MOT when it is due.

Is it legal to have a UK registered car in a secure parking area for this length of time? Or would it have to be put onto Spanish plates?

Hi, hello, I’m new here and looking to purchase an apartment in or around Alicante City,

Love the city and vibe but have only visited short term, I’m looking to purchase but have no idea which areas to avoid, I’ve seen an apartment in the area ‘ Calle Sierra Aitana Alicante’ which is in a residential area , requires some work but generally good condition, could anyone enlighten me about the area? Is it safe , secure etc etc the agent says it’s good …..but then he would wouldn’t he😊

Hi all, my wife and I have just received our NLVs and are about to fly back to Alicante again to try and find an apartment/villa to rent initially.  We are now in the process of looking at removals for our small 4 bed house (we’ve sold a lot of our furniture to keep costs down). Does anyone have any good recommendations please? We’re in the Oxfordshire area at the moment, I don’t know if that affects company’s.  I read somewhere that if you’re not too bothered on timelines then a ‘shared’ removals keeps costs down.
