To All villa rental owners be aware of a French family Benjamin and Sandrine.

He is a so call aircraft engineer, plus a con artist do not rent your villa to them, they make up false accusations to get refund for a free or cheap holiday they abuse your property lie to Airbnb who have no respect for hosts I lost over €2,000 on my rental after they charged electric cars to the tune of €250 overloaded my electricity burning out the main box as the property has no charging facilities so they just connected into my villa

Beware after over 60 customers all 4.8 to 5 star ratings my villa didn't come up to these 2 con artist standard and Airbnb are completely obvious to facts and witnesses to there action Airbnb don't want to listen.

Sorry but just so angry I wouldn't wish any honest owner to go through what I've had to

Not sure if anyone will have dealt with a similar situation before.

I am looking to take on my uncles share in a property that my mother and uncle inherited. With the view to ultimately take over ownership of the full property.

We are wondering if anyone else has done something similar and what the most tax efficient approach is.

Am I right in thinking that he can give up his share to his sister as a dissolution of joint property ownership - this would incur a minimal tax charge for the beneficiary and then a capital gains tax for the one giving up their portion of the property. Then she could gift me the property, again for a minimal tax implication?

This, I think, would be less of an overall tax burden than directly buying him out (having him gift me the property) and paying the taxes on that?

If anyone has dealt with a similar situation before I’d love to hear your experiences. Or if anyone can advise someone I can speak with about who might have the right expertise to guide us?

Also in Spain is it normal like in the UK to be able to get a valuation done for free on a property?

Just connected to mains water after 30 years of living in Benissa.

No idea of cost of water, how much you can use, how often are you invoiced, general info would be most helpful thanks.

I am renovating my house in Benissa. It is now habitable. Do I need an habitation certificate? I have read online you have to pay to renew every 10 years. I don’t intend to sell for over 10 years.
