Im trying to buy a rural property in Cocentaina, i really like it but it has some issues come up. The land registry document is really old (almost 20 years), it will be updated. But my lawyer and suveryor have been in telefone calls with Cocentaina townhall. The property is identified correctly across the land registry, cadastre and escurita, but its all very old.

In the telephone consultation, we could not be informed whether the building is legal or illegal and whether there are any proceedings open for urban planning infringements. The town council just didn't know. 

The property can be seen in the Urban planning maps since 2000. 

Has anyone here had to deal with the urban planning department in Cocentaina and have anything to share?

Just moved here, 23 year old male, so obviously wanting to get myself out there a bit and make some decent mates to stick around with.

I'm looking to buy some furniture for our place in Cocentaina and ideally, would like to have it delivered. Do you have any recommendations for furnitures stores that may offer this service? And if so, do you know what the lead time for delivery is once the purchase has been made?

Hi all readers of this Forum. I would like to make everyone aware of yet more Robbery in Cocentaina area

I have just been informed that my home in Spain has been robbed yet again. the thieves have completely emptied my property and left absolutely nothing.

I am not sure exactly when this robbery took place as I have only been given information via another resident who kindly takes a look around in my absence and he has reported that the thieves have even taken our water heater, TV, washing machine, Dryers, all beds including bedding, sofas, tables, chairs, fridge/freezer, wardrobes, clothes, personal items. what kind of people are they??? They had a large van - broke - in a back window removing security bars and left via our front door and leaving it damaged beyond repair. Not only did they rob us of all our goods but left at least 10,000 Euros of damage. I wont even be able to stay in my home whilst I try and secure it as it has been completely ransacked, leaving broken sanitary goods, as if robbing us was not enough they had to vandalise our home.  I will need to book hotel accommodation until I can make safe my home. they stayed long enough to cook and eat our food and leave their dirty dishes and food

please be on the look out for yourselves and your neighbours as I believe we are not the only property to have been robbed like this. A neighbourhood watch is very much needed as this is very much organised crime in a big scale. I thought our property was secured enough but obviously not, they came prepared with tools to rip out metal bars and to dismantle large furniture. Again what kind of people do this??? 

Pay 65 Euros a month with Vodaphone as needed for 2 places. Any suggestions for another supplier & what documents are needed?
