I have read the following useful thread on applying for the Convenio Especial:

One thing I wanted to confirm and understand properly is when I would be eligible to apply. I currently have private health insurance. I applied for residency at the beginning of February 2024 (recently got my TIE).

1. Is it still after 1 year of residency? The reason I ask is that my local lawyer here in Denia has told me it is 2 years.

2. Is the start of the timing from the date of residency application (so Feb 1 in my case) or when I received residency approval and my TIE?

3. Can one start any aspects of the process beforehand to maybe speed things up a little?

Hi weve just bought a new tv HD ,my old freestat box doesnt   work on the tv ,so I enquired about a new box one and was told that it will be discontinued in around a year time, could I bring my firestick to Spain and do you think it would work for English tv, I dont think it will but ,you will know  better than me.  

Any tips where to buy a large (trolley style / wheeled ) Electric (definitely not gas) Barbecue unit in the Denia area? Thanks 

Hello , we are soon moving permanently to Denia and are at the point where we need to decide about a vehicle. We have a 1 yr old Range Rover in the Uk and are thinking of bringing it with us . We would like to know of others experience with this process .

My husband and I are looking to buy a small holiday apartment for our family, we have 2 grown up children, not a big budget so a one bed would be fine with a sofa bed.  We would really appreciate any recommendations for estate agents covering Denia and surrounds. We will be coming to Denia in June, hopefully to view some properties. We will mostly not have car hire so would need good transport links from the airport.

Can you please tell me about transport and journey times (car and public transport) from Alicante airport to Denia? We have searched the internet for this but information is variable for some reason and I know the info will be accurate from this forum.

Does anyone on here know of a really good plumber who can solve issues relating to a piping and a leaking valve on a year old hot water cylinder.  My builder installed it.  All was okay for 8 months, then the leak started, and the builder is not interested in returning to fix it.  I´m the the Denia Marines area, close to Consum.  Thanks everyone for your consideration.
