I have had a problem with Redes Gas Natural since rhw end of last year because they have stopped sending my bills by email for payment so I dont know what I owe or what to pay. There was also a problem of notification for the gas inspection as they only sent the notice(s) by post. As a holiday home of course we never see these until after the date had passed.
I started communicting with them in February, firstly having an interpreter speak with them, however they refused as they did not have my authority. The telephone system is entirely Spanish and my limited spanish can not fathom out how to get through. I have pressed every number with no avail.
I then have communicated by email using Google translate with limited success. We have a date and time for the gas inspection and I have arranged access for the engineer. However still no bills.
They keep on saying that I can register / log in to my account online but when I try it either rejects my NEI or my CUPS. When I put in my passport number it accepts this but then rejects the CUPS so I can not get to my account.
Six months have elapsed and today I get another reply saying 'We have told you previously that you can access your account online'
Also they wont accept any direct debit unless you have a Spanish Bank Account. We ditched Sabadell after 18 years of being overcharged and under valued and moved firstly to Fineco (Italian) and then Starling (UK) for free Euro Banking.
I have had enough and wondered if we can transfer to another Gas supplier like we do in the UK. It appears that Iberdrola (our electric supplier) also supplies Gas.
I can not believe after 20 years have having a gas supplier - without a problem - they can not sort out their problem (Computer says NO ) LOL or understand if they don't send me a bill I can not pay it.
