Before you use money on an expert. Why is it damp. Has the apartment been empty for a longer period of time, is there a major temperaturen difference between the rooms? A 5 degrees temperature difference can give dampness if the humidity is high. When you leave the apartment for a longer period of time, leave a window or two slightly open, if this is possible.

Hi I have a top floor apartment and have always left the windows slightly open. I also put down the dehumidifiers that can be bought cheaply from most Chinese stores or alternatively bowls of salt. I usually put them in wardrobes and each room. I’ve had my apartment for 18 years and never suffered damp whilst it’s been empty, sometimes for as long as 6 months.

Regards

Anne
