Our application for residency was submitted electronically on Monday by a fantastic lady Kirsten McGarry who works for BABELIA, they were set up very recently by the UK government to assist Brits, and today , four days later she called us to say our application has been successful. We’re so grateful for her help , we thought we wouldn’t hear anything for several months , I would highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking of becoming resident in Spain .

Their service is free . The next stage we have to do but if we have difficulty we can speak to them.

Sounds good. Have you been onto the appointments webpage yet to see if you can book. We got pretty worried at that stage as the clock starts ticking from when you get to a favourable outcome. It's about a month I think.
If you need photos there is a photographic studio/ shop in Montesinos where we had ours done for 6 pounds each. For that you also get a picture size you can use for the driving license exchange process.

We’ve been told we have to pay a fee through the bank, but not sure if we have to have a receipt for this before we can book the appointment ?

You can book the appointment before you have paid the fee. Just make sure you leave enough time to pay the fee. We paid ours at Bco Sabadell in Montesinos over the counter.
