To clarify - you need to claim on your travel insurance because due to an accident you were unable to make it to the airport to take your flight?
I assume you were involved in the accident as otherwise I'd think the insurance company would say why didn't you turn off the N332 and use an alternative route such as the AP7 to get to the airport?
Assuming you were involved and there was damage - were the insurers not informed or if there was injury were the police not called? Both should have a reference number.
If there was no damage so no insurance claim and the police weren't called I can't see why the travel insurance would pay out as a no damage collision wouldn't cause you a delay sufficient to miss the flight.
Sounds to me like the OP was delayed by, but not involved in, whatever took place on that day and time.
If correct then I would think that the local police would be the ones to approach for the required evidence.
Confused about the location however as the Altea Club De Golf and N332 appear to be nowhere near each other with the golf club being on the inland side of the AP7 and the N332 on the seaward side?

Traffic stopped for 20 minutes, on a Sunday lunchtime.
Unfortunately I think your chances of being reimbursed are slim. I wish you lots of luck.
Cheers, J

I agree with other comments how the golf club and N332 get used in the same sentence. But either way, seems your travel back to the airport was left a little late.

Seems the OP joined to just post this and has since no use for followup.

I know that road very well, it's the N332 Calpe-Altea section just after the entrance to Altea Hills. The Golf club is not called Altea Golf Club, it's Golf Don Cayo and is a couple of miles inland on the North side of the AP-7. That crash would have closed the road for a bit and caused a delay. Turning back even if you could for a new route via the nearest AP-7 junction would have added a long time to the journey.
Perhaps irrelevant now as the OP isn't responding!
I was caught up in that. You are right in the sense that it occurred near the entrance to Altea Hills which does have a sign saying the golf club is up there. Police were present and the road was close for a short while and then they had one way traffic alternating. I was an Insurance broker and I am not sure how someone elses accident would result in a claim for you. If you were headed South from Calpe I can see how you got stuck and to turn around would have been difficult and you have to go back a long way to get back on the AP7. Police were in attendance for sure so if you do somehow have cover for this I am sure you can get confirmation from them.

I would guess the OP is trying to claim for the cost of new flights on his holiday insurance, for delays beyond his control. I know our Nationwide holiday insurance offers cover for missed departure due to unexpected delays, never tried claiming on it though.
