Evening all, I'll be holidaying in cabo roig for couple months after Xmas. Wanted to know if people drink the tap water??

We usually buy bottled water whilst on holidays, but longer hol this time, so was wondering if buying a filter water jug, like a britta jug.. Would this be safe then to drink d tap water filtered through it??

And are they easily bought in shops?

Thank you for any advice

Have a lovely weekend

Kind regards

Tap water is safe but if you're from a soft water area in the UK the taste can take some getting used to, especially when making a cup of tea.

Bottled water still has plenty of minerals in it but it tastes better and doesn't furr up your kettle as much as tap water

We just use the tap water. Fine for everything and we put the tap water in bottles in the fridge for drinking.

[Before traveling to a new country, it's always a wise idea to scope out whether it's safe to drink tap water. So, can you drink tap water in Spain? The quick answer is yes: the average traveler absolutely can drink tap water in Spain. Essentially, 99.5% of Spain's tap water is deemed safe for consumption].Jun 2, 2023

For me, I only like water (con-gas) "fizzy water" & so only buy bottled water. Town water is (normally) high in calcium & much Chlorine (bleach). Each to their taste. V

I've been using a Britax filter jug for years for drinking water but use directly from the tap for boiling for coffee/tea etc

We have a house in Los Dolses, near Villamartin in Orihuela Costa, there is minimal limescale in our water, what we would call "soft" water in the UK. Our kettle and coffee machine never furr up so never need descaling.

We usually buy bottled drinking water, a matter of taste, but use tap water for coffee and tea.

Rgds,

Aitch.
