Hola

Normally we can burn garden rubbish from 15/10 to 15/5 every year but I’m hearing rumours that they have stopped the bonfires already this year?

Any info anyone?

I have seen lots of them around but it would be best to check with your local town hall.

There are restrictions of open fires and burning of agricultural trimmings , I have seen a few fires ( agricultural ) this year but greatly reduced.   I would check with town hall to be certain what restrictions your location has , if you can't burn the eco park is good for many things including garden trimmings if you can't compost them. Good luck

As far as I am aware, although we are not immediately in your area, bonfires, even for those holding the correct Licencia, or traditional agricultural burning of vine cuttings etc, has been prohibited throughout Valencia, due to the lack of rain and tinder dry woodland and ground cover. There were two enormous fires raging last week in this area, both due to exactly this, careless bonfires. They took several days to deal with and have burnt large areas.

Agricultural burning is prohibited in the Valencian CommunityGiven the high risk of forest fires that are affecting the Valencian Community

The Department of the Environment of the City of Albatera has reported that, by Resolution of April 15, 2024, of the general director of Forest Fire Prevention, the period of burning of crop margins or elimination of agricultural or forestry residues through the use of fire is modified (DOGV 9828/15.04.2024).
