Hi all,

I´ve just received notice of a delivery from DHL, which included this alert:

https://www.dhl-eucustoms.com/

It looks like it´s going to be important for anyone sending correspondence and packages from the UK to the EU to be aware of the new regulations, to avoid incurring unnecessary charges and delays.

Kind regards,

Kim

EU Regulations are one thing, and customas clearance procedures vary between countries applying different criteria. Most important: what is a commercial shipment and what isn't. If shipper, package and shape lead to presuming new bought items, customs will treat as a commercial shiopment and apply full taxes and duties. Used preowned items sent from a family member or a friend must or should be be marked as "no commercial value" which is, however, no warrant that customs after checking the contents apply different criteria and charge taxes and duties. A list of contents showing "customs value" for every item is helpful.
