Taxes in Spain
Hi All. Is is simple to your own residential taxes, we engaged a company last year that charged us €150 pp, which I thought was a bit much, compared to other people who employed a tax company, . Thanks

Hi Evon75,
Unless your taxes are very complex, €150 each is expensive. We use Abaco Advisers in Torrevieja and they charge €149 for both of us. This fee also includes paying other taxes, such as IBI and Council Tax, as well as any general advice we may want. They publish monthly newsletters for clients, covering a whole range of subjects, and they also run 'Abaco Club' to help with integration to Spain, organising things like language exchange groups, cookery classes, etc, although the current Covid-19 restrictions have forced much of this online for the time being.
The problem with doing your own tax returns is that, if you get it wrong, the fines can be punitive. In your position, I'd get a less expensive advisor. Abaco is a Spanish company, but our tax advisor is English and bilingual - take a look at their website:
Kind regards,
Kim

'..yes it is easy to do. There’s lots of info on this forum if you search for Non Resident Tax. There is also information on :
https://www.citizensadvice.org.es/ just search non resident tax and you will find a guide and link to the Agencia Tributaria website in English.'

Hi Leafy,
I may have misunderstood, but I believe Evon75 is resident, rather than non-resident? Perhaps they could clarify.
Kind regards,
Kim

Ahh quite possibly! Still might be valid searches, just with resident's tax instead of non-resident's tax.
