Riega water

On Aspe, we have two types of water: that which comes from transfer via canals, and that which is extracted from wells. Both are relatively polluted by various impurities, and that coming from wells carries also salts.

The filters must be changed regularly, and despite this, the quality remains questionable. The more impurities the water contains, the faster the filter will be saturated. You will need to be able to test the quality of the water in a laboratory.

Considering the cost, bottled water is safer and more or less the same price in the end.

There is a company that regularly delivers 20 liter bottles, and it works by subscription.

when i lived up in La Romana i was put on the cleaner version of riega but i wouldnt drink it

riega is agricultual water with so many impurities and bacteria so not remotely drinkable

as the other poster i drank bottled water

Only a reverse osmosis system filter will work with any salt water. They use this on some Aircraft carriers . One was the Us Saratoga but now is de commissioned.

No I’m afraid not unless you want a dicky tummy or worse. I get all my water from Carrefour. Refillable bottles, it works out at 9c per litre.

Osmosis is not for saltwater it's for high calcium content water which is in most areas on the Costa Blanca.

To drink saltwater it has to go thru de-salination.

I live in Almoradi and have been drinking tap water for almost 19 years without any side effects.

Yes that’s fine but is that town water or agricultural water? We are talking about agricultural water. I don’t get town water where I live but if I did, of course I would drink it.
