As a UK passport holder it is impossible for you to move back to Spain without substantial funds and there is next to no chance of getting a job legally as after Brexit all jobs have to be offered to EU citizens and you would need to get a job offer first to get the correct visa.

Sorry but that’s the way it is now.

Hi Richardj1978 and welcome to the forum.

There are two work visas you could get for Spain - one type is for self-employed people:

https://www.exteriores.gob.es/Embajadas/ottawa/en/ServiciosConsulares/Paginas/Consular/Visado-de-trabajo-por-cuenta-propia.aspx

and the other is for people who are able to get a contract with a Spanish employer:

https://www.exteriores.gob.es/Consulados/londres/en/ServiciosConsulares/Paginas/Consular/Visado-de-trabajo-por-cuenta-ajena.aspx

The requirements for either are demanding.

Kind regards,

Kim
