Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone can help with getting logs delivered in Moraira. I'm looking for a ton bag so I can store the logs for use on the wood burner over the winter. We normally just buy the smaller bags from the petrol station, but I expect its a lot cheaper to buy in bulk?

I use this outfit based in Monte Pego:

They say on their website that they'll deliver within a 40km radius, so Moraira should be OK. It's not delivered by weight, but by volume, and it's delivered loose in a small tipper truck, so you need a suitable space for offload; they tip it onto my drive and I then stack it up under a tarpaulin. Check out their website for details. They offer various types of wood. I take their smallest and cheapest load, which is 2.5 m3 of mixed orange and olive wood, which costs 160e including delivery. That just about lasts us through the winter months. They can be a bit unreliable when it comes to delivery, depending on what they've got on, so don't assume that the day they promise is the day they'll actually turn up!

There is an outfit called Torres on the road between Gata and Javea, they have quite a large delivery area. Better to see them in person as they only speak Spanish/Valenciano. Reasonable prices, always have been reliable, deliver when agreed. As above, tipped onto drive, and you stack hem. We usually had about 2 loads of 3,5 mt . We took to buying oak as we personally found it worked better. However, has just changed to pellet burner, had enough stacking timber and cleaning out stove daily!!!
