Can anyone point me in the direction of filling our own joint residents tax forms? It only took a few minutes for a lawyer to do, we only have one state pension and a small private pension, or cheaper than €100. Any help appreciated.

Spanish Tax Forms Ltd charge 34.95 for a complete return regardless of how many owners. Joint owners just one fee. You print the form off and pay at a bank or they will pay it for you for an additional sum.

However, as you have made the mistake of using a solicitor (who always overcharge) you now have a copy so use that to complete the Form 210 yourself. Lots of instructions on these threads and you will need the cadastral value which is on your IBI request and also on the forms the solicitor did for you.

Unless I've misread the OP, we're not talking about non residents property tax, we're talking about submitting a resident's annual income tax return.

Could the OP confirm, please?

Oops! It was the expats resident tax I took on board. If it is the income tax then a gestor would be cheaper than a solicitor but if you have the old return you can complete the tax return on line, print it out and pay at a bank if you don't have a digital signature.

Yes we are paying residents tax, last year we did not have to pay anything apart from the cost of the solicitor, shw did a joint return for us, nothing has changed since last year apart from a small increase on my husbands state pension.

I've said this on here many times, but if your sources of  income are fairly straightforward, like pensions, share dividends, interest on savings, then doing your income tax return yourself is reasonably straightforward.

I've done my own since I've been here and not experienced any problems.

The one thing you need is an electronic certificate on your computer. This identifies you to any government body, like the tax authorities, that you deal with online. I'm told you can acquire this now online, when I did it you had to go and get a code from your local ayuntamento.
