Hello all.

my names rick and me and my family are looking for a home in playa flamenca.

We had a little 4 day holiday there last week to see if it was for us and it definitely is. We have a 12 year old daughter that will be wanting to make friends out there and an 18 year old son that will be wanting to get drunk out there. So it’s a bit of everything we are looking for.

Any advice on making friends and drinking partners would be appreciated. Hope you’re all well and we will see you very soon. 👍👍

Are you UK passport holders?

Getting drunk will win your son no friends in Spain!

Have you looked into the visa you need and any income an healthcare requirements?

It's not easy just to move to Spain.

Getting drunk will also land you in big trouble with the Police, of which there are far more around than there in the UK, and they don't mess around out here, so be careful!  Good luck with your property search.

If just you and your wife moving over eventually, that would be fine. Not a lot going on for teens or early 20s, though. They'd both be over 18 so would need their own visas. Work visas for non EU are virtually impossible to get and the main non lucrative visa means you can't find employment. Then there is healthcare and you'd all need private health insurance if not of pensionable age. You'd also need to show an income of 36,000 euro as a couple and the kids would also need to show an income of 28,800 each as well.

Lots of place around Playa Flamenca. The nearer the beach the more expensive so maybe La Zenia or Villamartin would be better places to look as they are 20 to 25 percent less then closer to the beach. Affordable close to beach area would be La Mata. Plenty of properties for sale in those areas.

Good luck.

Hi Rick

we live out here and have 10 year old girl and quiet a lot going on she’s in dance clubs etc and through summer months the abbey tavern is brilliant for families as have live entertainment for adults and children so everyone happy 😎🍺

My lads also 19 but he prefers Cabo roig for nights out as more lively !!

Hope all works out for you

regards
