I'm moving to Punta Prima at the beginning of July; it would be great to find out where to go and get to meet people, as I am 56 and now single.

Your nearest bars will probably have all sorts of clubs and functions happening, just ask in one of them. Lots of quizzes around  and every team would value the input of additional member. The bar staff will point you in the right direction.

If you’re into sports lots of golf societies, bowls groups, petanca, padel tennis  etc

Hi Cora2

The first thing to be aware of in Punta Prima is that just about everybody speaks English, no matter what their native language is.

As someone has already said - the local bars are a good place to start. https://m.facebook.com/tabernamarcopolo/ has live entertainment every day. There's a number of bars etc at the top of the hill, in a commercial centre called Via Park 3, which have a range of entertainment including quizzes and music. It's very easy to say hello to people in that sort of environment.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Susan

I live in La Florida, I’m 53 and not far from Punta Prima nor Via Park 3 (mentioned in another message)

If you fancy meeting up for a coffee or drink when you arrive I’d be happy to help with any questions you will have of the areas.

Michelle

Hi Susan

It depends what you like doing really.

Being a bit of a rock music lover, I've found it pretty hard to find anyone to go to the only rock bar in the area (Torrevieja). If you a gymmy-type person, the Maxx gym is ok but a bit ....'cliquey'.

Bars are a good bet, especially if you like karaoke (which is almost unavoidable around here) or join a petanque team maybe? You never know, but your neighbours might be a sociable bunch as well!

Anyway, good luck and let's hope you have a great new chapter to look forward to.

Hi Michelle,

Yes, I'd love to meet up once I'm in Punta Prima.
