What is "free" garden water? You will pay your water bills which reflect the amount of water you use. It is quite cheap but not free anywhere. Our water bills, now they've reduced the tax and rubbish collection charges, work out about 35 euro a quarter and we water our front and back gardens on a regular basis. The more you use, the more it costs. Up to a certain amount is charge 1, over that is charge 2 and over that is charge 3 which goes up depending on the amount of cubic metres used.

Hi. Without stating the obvious. Water is free. EG: when I bought my Campo house over 20yrs ago, it was fitted with a rain-fall deposito with pump.1979. However by the time I bought it, water was also supplied by pipe ( agricultural). & paid to the supplier for its services. My neighbour in the next village had free water via his well ( included in his water-rights.) V

How to  neighbours  water free does he not have  a pump  and electricity   to  use  to  get Water  to  property.   Pump needs  maintenance   Electricity  costs  money.  So   not really  free. As  I  have   my own well  in my  home  in my  home country

Thanks for that & understand your point. But my point was that water is free. It's the companies, services, water treatment, metering & equipment maintenance & admin charges which is supplied & paid for, not the water. V

Campo houses are a bit different to Punta Prima. Water is not free as you pay a certain amount for the amount you use. 3 levels of usage and it gets more expensive the more you use it. Not many places in Punta Prima with a well in their back garden.

I wonder if your neighbour is confusing the watering of communal gardens which is included in the community charge with a gardening service turning his sprinklers on 3 times a week, something he will also pay for. Perhaps because he's not actually doing it himself and is not getting a separate bill for it he doesn't realised that he's paying. I have a garden service and the charge for this is included in my community fee. Also, the water is included in my water bill as it's the same stuff that comes out of the indoor taps.

Just a thought.
