Age76.have lived in France for 25 years and moving to spain in November. Will I still have time under the old regs to qualify fiscally.also I have afrench driving license and French car.I will be buying outright. No ties to the UKexcept pensions.I am technically an EU resident. I did have a European passport that expired this year and it was replaced with  aUK one?? What problems am I likely to encounter if any.👍

As a permanent resident of France you may be able to transfer that to Spain however if possible it has to be done prior to making the move which obviously could be a problem with the end of the year approaching.

https://ec.europa.eu/immigration/general-information/already-eu_en.

If you moved anyway then you would be treated the same as any Brit, the fact of coming from France will make no difference. It's where we came from.

Having a French car will be of no consequence, save that you will have to transfer it onto Spanish plates of course, and unlike a UK licence, a French one will remain exchangeable for Spanish after year end.
