Carp Fishing In Villamartin

Hello all!
This week I have just purchased my new home in the Villamartin area.
i was wondering if anyone knew of any carp fishing lakes around at all?

Try taking a run to restaurant El Paraíso de Guardamar, it's a 10/15 min. drove from Villa Martin. They have a small lake and I've seen a few fishing competitions taking place. Sometimes there is just a couple of anglers.

Hi, There are only a few carp/fresh water lakes in the area and El Paraíso (puddle) is a small man made lake that does hold fish but isn't really what you may be used to back home.
By far the best is the below,
Parque natural de El Hondo
Crevillente, Valenciana, Spain
Call 615 89 58 39

Have a look at the link from an angling club, you can pay and pleasure fish most days, I think 7 euro's and its good fun fishing, with carp, tench, barbel and mullet. If a contest is for you then there are a few clubs who fish there. A quick search will give you all the info.
You need a licence to fish in Spain,
There are two permits available, one for fresh water and one for sea fishing. Both available in Alicante to do yourself, you need ID, and it's a bit of a pain but not too difficult, you have to complete the forms, go to the local bank, pay the sums then return for the completion of paperwork and the licence is then issued. Probably an hours job.
Alternatively some of the local tackle shops will do it for you at a charge. Easy enough to DIY.
