Gym - 2 replies

Judit Posted by Judit in Off topic on Tue Apr 30, 2024 9:38pm

Hi everyone!

I`m just wondering if somebody could give me some advice on gyms in Torrevieja.

I`m thinking of going to the gym while we`re on holidays as well.

Is there any in town where I could buy daily / weekly pass?

The closest one from our property would be Vivefit Sport Center in C. d Manuel Martinez Guirao, 2.

I`ve found their email address and sent an email but the reply came back saying it`s invalid.

I`d be happy if you had any suggestions.

Many thanks,

Judit

Iberdrola connection - 1 replies

Gill1972 Posted by Gill1972 in Utilities: Electric, gas and water recommendations and advice in Javea / Xàbia on Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:57pm

Hi we have had our electricity cable to our house cut and meter removed by Iberdrola. We had squatters who were by passing the meter.

We went about getting it re connected and Iberdrola said the cables must now be run underground even though the pole is still in our garden. The cost is 26,000.

Does anyone know if this is correct I don't understand why we can't reconnect as before.

Many thanks

Gill.

Paying part cash for property purchase - 6 replies

Celtic111 Posted by Celtic111 in Banking and finances in Santa Pola on Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:43pm

Hi All

We have had an offer accepted on a small apartment close to Santa pola but the vendor has come back to ask for 30k in cash obviously to offset CGT and his fees. I am aware that this means our title deed will reflect a lower purchase price and our CGT will be higher when we come to sell. Has anyone else been asked to do this lately and how likely are you to be caught by tax authorities etc. Abogado has said this isn't unusual but I just want to know the facts

Rent in spain / how much per month - 3 replies

VinnyJill Posted by VinnyJill in Moving to Torrevieja: tips and advice on Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:43pm

Hi All ,

Just got back from Torrevieja, had a great time.

Just have a couple of questions....

We are looking at moving at some time over there near Torreblanca area or La Mata..

But we have young kids so cannot move yet..

If we where to get a basic 3 bed with sun terrace & communal pool ( i think they call them apartments with upstairs ) ,how much would we pay roughly per month if we are not there ?

Secondly how much roughly would we be able to rent out per week as a holiday rent ar a week or two weeks at a time ?

So that we could budget until we move there full time.

Thanks Vinny

Is La Veleta in Torrevieja a good place to buy a rental property? - 11 replies

Sycamore Posted by Sycamore in Moving to Torrevieja: tips and advice on Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:38pm

Hi, I'm considering buying a 3 bedroom apartment in La Veleta and rent it out during the high season in the summer. For the rest of the year, I would either use it myself or again try to rent it out.

Would you recommend La Veleta? I looked at some of the other central areas around Torrevieja, but the properties there are more expensive.
