One of the more obscure subjects for sure, but can anyone tell me if my LG washing machine here in the UK will be hose compatible when I move it to Spain? Or am I wasting my time taking it?

I'm moving to Spain permanently and I read on one website/blog that in order to register on the Padron you need to present a "baja" - a letter from the UK Consul or Embassy stating that you are no longer a UK resident. Can anyone advise if this is correct?  Many thanks in advance for any advice.

We will be currently using the property as a holiday home until my husband and I retire in a couple of years.
