Does anyone know if there are sunbeds for hire at Mil Palmeras beach?  We were out at end March and there were none, and we are out again at end of May and we are hoping that they will have appeared.

Also, by any chance has the beach bar materialised?

Husband and are coming over mid June to look for a retirement property in Torre de La Horadada or San Pedro del Pinatar 

 NLV hopefully later in the year. 

We didn’t get a great price on U.K. house and therefore our budget will be up to 200,000 Euros. 😥

Realistically we know that limits our Torre options to semi detached and terrace houses.
I have heard the sound insulation isn’t great in Spanish buildings.
It’s not great in Scotland either by the way….

My husband plays piano and guitar and we wouldn’t want off to a bad start with the neighbours.
Is sound and privacy a major issue , is insulation a big problem to address.

 Hubby is handy with the DIY… 

Are there other buying considerations you would recommend we might not have thought of being novice immigrant buyers. i.e. damp,electrics, boilers , given that there is no home report how do you check it’s a good buy.

Can anyone recommend someone who can carry out the registration side for the installation of solar system. I know this must be a registered electrician, and I know most would not put they name to others work. obviously, they would need to come and inspect the work and carry out any work that they consider necessary.

I am looking to buy a house with my family in 2024 in this area.  We holidayed here in September 2023 and loved it, we are all back in March this year too.  However, I have read a few posts saying that it is essentially dead over winter/spring.  Or mentioning say, only 20% of things are open.... but what though?  If the basket weaving shop is shut that's fine, but if all the bars and restaurants are shut that would be a deal breaker - and I so love this area.  I would dearly like to know that there is life happening still between November-March or else we wont be able to use the house to its full potential.

If there is anybody going for a little walk up the Mil Palmeras 'strip' (i.e. from the Greek restaurant near the beach and up that street past Nina's), could you please let me know what is open this week please?  

Or if anybody happens to be walking around the Pueblo Latino square, or the square at the harbour.... again, what is actually open at this time of year?
