If you go on google maps and search for bus stops near Castell de Castells you will see that there are none within walking distance.

I was there at Christmas and I saw a bus shelter. Regrettably I didn’t take a photo of the timetable to Denia. And I cannot find any information about a bus service.
But thank you for your response.

There may be a very local bus company linking the villages to bigger towns but they are usually far and few between, if they still exist at all. In my general area even a large urbanization such as Ciudad Quesada is not served by public transport. There may still be one local free bus to the market once a week but everything I have read is that local services start up and then due to lack of use are soon withdrawn.

We live in the campo about 40 mins drive from Castell. There is absolutely no way that seriously one could contemplate any period of time in these rural areas without some kind of transport yourself. To echo Cheryl above, buses are few and far between. There is a bus stop in our small village and I have rarely seen a bus.

Many thanks. I am walking the GRR330 and hoped to take a break in Castell de Castells. Looks like I have to stay overnight and continue walking.
Many thanks to everyone who replied. This is much appreciated.
