I went to IMED yesterday they will not let you book directly only on line. They also said you can just turn up but that might incur queuing depending on how many people are there.

If travelling after 19th July
You only need the Antigen test to go back to the uk if you have had both jabs
But you need a PCR rest within the first two days of entering the UK which have to be pre-booked and paid for before you travel as you need to enter a code on your entry form. Look on the UK Gov website fore all details
It’s about half the price of a PCR test.

Thanks Stephen
It’s getting quite confusing we are hoping to come out in a month for a month then we will be going through the expensive non lucrative visa for permanent residency again not straight forward
All the best

Hi can you explain the 48 hours ,I thought it was 72 hours ,driving back 8 August ,my plan is test in Barcelona on that day ,then a drive and overnight stay Girona region ,then 2 overnight stays in France ,ferry from Dunkirk, midday 11 August ,all within 72 hour time scale ,did hear yesterday that from next Tuesday PCR and Antigen tests will be sold in pharmacies in Spain now if they can be used.for travel to UK much cheaper and easier to keep within time guidelines

Hi Martin
As stated earlier in the thread, my understanding is your timescales are 72 hours; they certainly were when I travelled back to the U.K. earlier this year.
My only other thought would be ensure you have your return test exactly within the timescale. For example. I was flying back Saturday 12.30. I made sure that I had the test after 12.30 on the previous Wednesday, thereby keeping me in the 72 hours.
I can’t say this was required, but I prefer to err on the side of caution. There may well have be some smarty pants who’d have argued “you had your test before 12.30, you’ve exceeded the 72 hours” 🤪🥂
