My husband and I and small dog are moving to La Sella Urbanisacion in Denia, from April.

Can anyone suggest the best service to use, for internet and English Tv.? There is an aerial and TV already in place, so just need a supplier.

Also would be good to meet other permanent residents there for friendship.

Any other info about the area is greatfully received.

ADSL is non existent on La Sella.

So you will have to reply on either 4g (if you can receive it), or a local wireless internet provider (again if you can receive it).

There is a fiber service being installed, but from comments on the local FB page (la sella connect - will also cover your meet other people there requirement) , people are not too happy with the service (paying for 300m and getting like 30 for example)

The TV aerial will only pick up Spanish channels. It does NOT have any UK channels on there. But when it shows US or UK content, most times you can change from the dubbed SPanish soundtrack to the original English sound track.

If you want uK TV via a dish, then the dish needs to be at least 110x120cm. Anything smaller will not pick up the UK TV channels on a good stable basis.

But then obviously your move will depend if it is indeed possible, with the lock down, as although you may be able to move, if you need anything, then that may not be possible...

We are a little further South, and as Internet and TV reception can be very a local affair, can only say that Cableworld were very good for us. Monovar based. Similar challenges. Small existent dish works well (separate to the TV dish). They arrived promptly at 8:30, were really pleasant people, rewired the cabling and tested the connection. We only get 10MB down but they predicted that in the shop. Guess we won't be streaming much on those rates.

Would like a convo with you Sat and TV man at some point re the art of the possible re TV dishes. We have one strapped to the chimney which doesn't look ideal and tends to clang around when the wind is from the South lol...

We wish you well Sallysu in your move. Fingers crossed. Spain got it right in locking down at this point. Maybe the UK could take one out their book...

Best wishes,

Dave (n Jules of course)

"Cableworld were very good for us. Monovar based" - a bit too far away for a service in Denia, both for travelling, and for reception of their signals!
