Hi Folks

Would anyone have any idea why myself wife and daughter was asked to see our passports before ordering a drink in the Sports bar Benimar?

That is strange, I know that visitors are supposed to carry their passport at all times (I never do lol) in case they are asked by the Guarda, but to show them when entering a bar does seem OTT !

It probably operates with a casino licence. We always use the sports bar at Alicante airport and have to show passports in there.
