Hi  All

Just wanted to ask if anyone else has been informed by the Suma Office that they have not paid enough Tax when they had there villa built.        We have just found this out to our cost and have been told to expect to pay a substantial sum. Apparently this applies to new builds      constructed in the last 4 years, that have been granted  license's from Pinoso Town Hall. Would be interested to know if this applies to other Town Halls.

It's not that easy. Who determines how much money is paid or not? Such processes can be appealed and you must be notified and given time to make your statements of disconformity etc.

I can well believe that,  but I am specifically looking to converse with anyone who is on this forum who had a license issued from Pinoso Town Hall, to construct a villa and they are being asked by Suma to pay more Tax that apparently should have been paid upon completion of their build.

SUMA do levy charges in relation to property and for example Valor Cadastral claims are in the realm of SUMA.

But as you haven't said what the charge relates to I can't help more than that. Have you asked your Gestor about the charge?

hi all

just seen this post and sorry for asking but would all of the tax costs not be known prior to the start of the build especially if you have agreed a 'Total Build Price' with your developer ? Surely this would be all documented by your Lawyer?

thanks

That would all depend on how much information your developer and Solicitor informed you of. Anyway this has all been sorted now, I just was asking if anyone else on the Pinoso forum had experienced this problem, and obviously no one had. Un-beknown to us It was all to do with what the developer declared with the Town Hall at the time of obtaining the build licence, appears to have been a loop hole that the Tax office has now discovered . Turns out that our Solicitor was not that good.!!!!!!
