I can get by day-to-day with my Spanish but when I go to see my doctor I take a translator with me. If you are in the Spanish health system then you should take a translator with you as is requested. You also will be registered at your local health centre and should use a doctor there so canniot you change from one doctor to another at that centre?

Thanks, I can also get by with my Spanish and for things like results I take a translator. I have to change Drs now as the one I was allocated has not been there for almost a year. Every time I go to see the Dr its a different locum, it takes up to 10 days to get an appointment. At reception its not unusual to queue for 1/ 1 1/2 hours. There are so many registered there. The parking is diabolical. Its the worst salud I have ever used in Spain.

The Catral Medical Centre is exactly the same as you describe. What makes the Catral Medical Salud even worse is the administration women that sit on the front desk which you have to deal with before visiting the Dr OR Nurse.
These women have the lowest form of customer service I have ever experienced in my travels and living in many countries around the world.
They are almost Witch like..... EVIL would be a word that comes immediately to mind. They treat the local Spanish residents exactly the same, so it is not just because we are ex-pat's living in there country!

Hi
My medical centre in Cabo Roig now has all the same problems as above - I've had a problem with my foot for 4 months now and still haven't had a diagnosis, mainly because of delays and locums!
Cheers
Steve
