Hi,

Do you feel the good folk of Santa Pola are ready to welcome us Brits back for a holiday in August. My wife and i have holidayed in Santa Pola for many years and are keen to get back. I don't want to upset any of the locals if they feel things are moving a wee bit quick. I look forward to your thoughts.

Regards, Steven.

Thanks Ray,

Your reply has put a smile on our faces, it's good to know SP will be as welcoming as it always has been to us. We've already missed our trips to SP this Easter and May, so are really really looking forward to getting back. August it is then!!! Thanks again and take care, Steven

RayD, Security rules and social distancing are by some, ignored in The UK,as they are by some, ignored in Spain, as per backed up by your statement  outlining the well documented spikes and repeaks in Spain . The UK has similar spikes to Spain ,No difference. People will be people .

There have been some new cases reported in Elche.  In the last week , it’s got much busier here in SP...but not as busy as it was last year and suddenly appears a lot of people , who clearly can’t keep distance on these pavements , are not bothering with masks.  Locals or vacationers ? Who knows ...but the absence of masks has increased markedly. People still like to sit close on the beach too, even when there’s 200 metres of clear sand lol

it’s a little disconcerting after 3 months of severe lockdown.

Hi all of our fellow SantaPoleros, better warn youse , we are booked on Jet2 to arrive on 27th, staying a month then again September.

Hope we don’t find squatters in our house like some unfortunate folk apparently have.

We will have masks on, but in The UK a lot of defiant locals seem compelled to risk their lives rather than show they fear the virus. Hell mend them.

Hasta pronto companeros!

Hi Ray & Frances

just watching facemask developments out here ....Murcia have also now taken a step back making masks compulsory even with a “safe” distance ..let’s hope we don’t follow!

Oh dear!  Santa Pola mayoress has announced a family of 4 in the area have tested positive ....

We haven’t had any for weeks ....so disappointing but not unexpected with the influx of holiday makers.
